musings about the emerging church, mission and contemporary culture...

God is at large, intimately involved in his world in ways that the church is maybe just waking up to!

they like Jesus but not the church

Ok, so it might just be a pretty long (7 minutes) advert for this book and course (which I haven't read/participated in, so can't comment on), but it is worth a watch all the same...

That was quite interesting... As an advert I didn't think it was too long at all actually - and I thought that the mix of topics was good and varied too.

Who is it aimed at? Is it aimed at discussions within churchgoers to make them see that others (who don't go to church) can have interesting perspectives/a relationship with God, or is it aimed at people who don't go to church to show them (ultimately) "Heck, church isn't a bad place after all!" That's my only negative comment on it to honest; from the promo I couldn't quite figure out who it was aimed at.

Great comment Nathan - it's not clear at all and maybe that's intentional on the part of the publishers. My hunch is that the course is designed for church small groups to get them to 'wake up and smell the coffee' so to speak, and to challenge church culture. But... I might be wrong!

Hope all is well with you.

Cheers
